Brendan Nelson is a highly regarded strategic planning and advisory leader with more than 30 years’ experience across local government, state government and the private sector.

He has held senior executive roles in both the NSW and Queensland Governments, including as a former Deputy Secretary in the NSW Department of Planning and Environment and the inaugural CEO of the Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation, leading major precincts, regional programs and planning reforms across Australia.

Brendan brings a rare end-to-end perspective to complex land-use, infrastructure and regional development challenges and for delivering strong outcomes.

An award-winning planner, Brendan is a former National President of the Planning Institute of Australia and was named Queensland Planner of the Year (2011) and Australian Planner of the Year (2012) as the inaugural recipient of both honours.
